Our Facilities

Tapiola Outdoor Education Centre is located at 140 Pento Road in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  The Tapiola property is a former cross country ski facility, with 13 acres of trails to explore.  The main building has a kitchen, bathrooms, classroom and mudroom.  

The McIntyre River flows through, and around the property you’ll find a garden, apple trees, and a soccer field.  For the kids, we have a small zipline, obstacle course, and other fun outdoor structures and challenges to keep them busy.

Since we're beside the city’s North McIntyre Rec Centre, we also have access to a baseball field, hockey rink, playground, and more.

There’s never a shortage of things to do at Tapiola!
