Kids Bushcraft - Fishing!

This week at Tapiola we're going fishing! Kids will get to know the fish that live in our Northwestern Ontario lakes and rivers. From there we'll talk fishing basics and strategy. Then it's time to practice. We've set up our own "land fishing" course — no hooks, just hand-wooden lures — so kids can work on their casting accuracy and get the feel of a rod without anyone losing an ear. Once they've got their aim dialed in, they'll try their luck at our special fishing pond, where every cast pulls up something new. We can't promise a trophy walleye, but we can promise a few surprises worth bragging about. No experience needed, and all gear is provided.
